Gauahar Khan’s ex-boyfriend and her husband Zaid Darbar’s equation on Alliance became one of the show’s most talked-about highlights. Kushal’s “Tujhe saari meri cheezein pasand aati hai” remark went viral on social media, with many criticising him. At the same time, Zaid also faced backlash for not taking a stand for his wife. However, after coming out of Alliance, Zaid revealed that he had, in fact, confronted Kushal about the remark inside the show.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Zaid said, “I actually spoke to him inside.” He further explained that not every moment made it to the final edit. Zaid added, “Woh toh aapko ek ghante mein I don’t think so woh dikha hoga, kyunki woh 23 ghante mujhe hi pata hai andar kya hua.”
Zaid shared that he approached Kushal calmly instead of reacting with anger or frustration. Gauahar’s husband said he explained why the remark had hurt him. He said, “Aise nahi tha ki maine bilkul baat nahi ki. Maine jaake baat bhi bahot achi tareeke se ki. Zaroori nahi hai ki aapka anger hi ya aapka frustration aap leke jaake jab baat karoge toh hi samjhega insaan (sic).”
He further claimed that he has always believed in resolving conflicts peacefully rather than escalating them. “Maine hamesha peace ko zyada dekha ki peacefully kaise cheez samajh aaye kisi ko aur ye cheez na ho next time.” According to Zaid, Kushal understood his point of view and apologised for the remark. He added that Kushal apologised to him in front of the cameras as well. During Alliance, Kushal had said, “I’m sorry. Zaid ki family ko main bahut respect karta hoon, aisa humara kuch thought process tha hi nahi.”
Even after Alliance ended, Kushal and Zaid continued to maintain a cordial relationship. The two were recently seen posing together with Gauahar Khan at Mini Mathur’s success party, leaving netizens surprised.
