Mega Hero Varun Tej has responded to the controversy over a scene in the film ‘Korean Kanakaraju’ featuring comedian Satya.
The film has a scene where Satya uses senior NTR’s iconic “Amateurish” dialogue, from the film Yugapurushudu which is getting trolled by anti fans from past few days. This has not gone down well with Nandamuri fans who are unhappy with the scene and say it is disrespectful to the legendary actor. NTR fans have demanded that the scene be removed and that the Mega family apologise to Nandamuri fans.
Responding to the controversy, Varun Tej said the scene was shot in November last year itself. Varun said there is a difference between imitation and trolling. He said the scene in Korean Kanakaraju was made in a healthy and fun way and was not intended to troll or insult anyone.
Varun said, “We imitate great actors. We did not do it with the intention of trolling anyone. We never wanted to disrespect anyone.”
Varun also said that during the Koreans promotions, they had imitated actors like Megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Krishna as well. Varun clarified that the dialogue in the film is used in the same way.
The film directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and starring Varun Tej and Ritika Nayak in the lead roles, has garnered decent to mixed talk. Varun Tej’s performance, Satya’s comedy timing and Thaman’s music are being appreciated as some of the film’s major highlights.
