The reported release date comes after Ranger was allegedly postponed to 2027, opening up a prime festive slot for Rohit Shetty’s comedy franchise.
If the plans remain unchanged, Golmaal 5 will clash directly with Prabhas’ Fauzi, instead of avoiding the Telugu superstar’s highly anticipated film.
The development has prompted fans to say Bollywood is no longer shying away from releasing big-budget entertainers alongside Prabhas’ movies.
Adding another twist, an Akshay Kumar film directed by Anees Bazmee is also expected to arrive around the same period.
Since Akshay Kumar features in Golmaal 5 as well, the festive season could witness the unusual spectacle of “Akshay Kumar vs Akshay Kumar” at the box office.
