US President Donald Trump on Friday increased the annual fees of H-1B visa to $ 1 lakh. This rule will affect especially those Indians who work in large tech companies of America. While signing in the White House, Trump said that its purpose is to give jobs to American people. Later, the administration said that this will protect American employees and companies will really be able to keep ‘very special and talented people’.
The US gives 85,000 H-1B visas from the lottery system every year. Out of this, about three-fourths of Indians are found. Trump has also started a new visa system, named The Gold Card. This will be for foreigners who want to live and work in America. Trump said, “Gold cards will bring billions of dollars and companies will be able to keep their essential experts.” According to the White House, this card will be given to successful businessmen, investors and entrepreneurs. It is being told that these cards can be replaced by the green card later, which allows foreigners to live and work in America.
How to get a gold card?
Non-refundable fees will have to be paid on applying. If on approval, you have to deposit $ 1 million. This will be around 8.3 crore rupees. With the gold card you can roam and live in all 50 states of America.
Trump platinum card
This will also be for businessmen, investors and entrepreneurs, but there will be more benefits. Its registration has not started yet. When it happens, the first come and first will be on the basis. On getting approval, 5 million or about 41.5 crore rupees will have to be paid. With this, you can stay in America for 270 days in a year and during that time American income tax will not have to be paid.
Trump Corporate Gold Card
This card is for companies, who want to keep foreign employees. Its fee will be $ 2 million i.e. around Rs 16.6 crore per employee. The company will have to pay non-refundable fees for every employee. It will also charge a small annual maintenance fee and transfer fees.
