New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visted 65 countries across 44 foreign trips since 202, the Ministryy of External Affairs (MEA) said in a reply in the Rajya Sabha.
The ministry further revealed that a total of 316 agreements were signed during PM Modi’s foreign visits during the same duration.
The ministry also provided countrywise details of the Prime Minister’s foreign trips each year. According to the official data placed before Parliament by the MEA), the expenditure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign visits stood at Rs36.18 crore in 2021, rising to ₹55.81 crore in 2022. The spending increased significantly to Rs102.12 crore in 2023, before marginally declining to Rs100.58 crore in 2024, spanning 16 countries including Russia, Ukraine, the US and Brazil.
For 2025, the expenditure has been reported at over ₹67 crore, although the figure is provisional as bills for several foreign visits are still under settlement.
“High level visits by the Prime Minister are established means of fostering closer relations with foreign countries and promoting India’s engagements at bilateral, regional and global levels,” the MEA stated.
“These visits, and the understandings and agreements concluded therein facilitate the strengthening of partnerships across a wide range of sectors, including technology, innovation, trade & investment, defence and energy cooperation, and resilient supply chains, among other,” it added.
As per the miistry, . the total FDI received during April 2021-December 2025 period was USD 381.8 billion.
