Popular singer Zubeen Garg died in a tragic accident on September 19, 2025 during the scuba diving in Singapore. The Singapore police took him out of the sea and then rushed him to the hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU, but despite all the efforts, Zubeen could not escape.

According to media reports, an FIR has been lodged against Shyamakunu Mahant, manager of the fourth North East India Festival at Morigaon Police Station in Guwahati. This complaint has been lodged by advocate Ratul Bora. Local North East Media Reports claimed that Mahant has been accused of disturbances in relation to the incident. Advocate Ratul Bora has alleged that Shyamakanu Mahant’s decision to bring Zubeen Garg into a poor managed event played a role in singer’s death at the age of 52 years. He accused the event manager of negligence and claimed that his work created situations that led to this sad result. The FIR also includes allegations of criminal negligence against Mahant.

When will Zubeen Garg’s body return to India
At the same time, some reports show that Zubine Garg attended a party in Singapore before this event on 20 September. It is being told that he went to swim and had a heart attack. Sources claim that they got into the water wearing a life jacket. Zubine was rushed to Singapore General Hospital, but the doctors could not save them. Zubine Garg’s body is in Singapore for post -mortem. The body is expected to be sent to Assam for the funeral of 20 September by the authorities.
The event that Zubine Garg went to Singapore to join has now been canceled. In a statement shared on Instagram, he expressed grief over the death of the singer and confirmed the cancellation of the event as an honor.
