Suriya is riding high on the blockbuster success of Karuppu and is now awaiting the release of Vishwanath & Sons. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14, 2026. Suriya has now confirmed that his 47th film, directed by Jithu Madhavan, will also arrive before the end of 2026. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor revealed that the film wrapped shoot recently and is being readied for a year-end release. Produced under his home banner 2D Entertainment, the project will announce its title and release date at a later stage.
With Karuppu already turning out to be a blockbuster and Vishwanath & Sons carrying positive expectations, Suriya has built strong momentum this year. His collaboration with Jithu Madhavan has only added to the excitement, and if both upcoming films deliver at the box office, the actor could complete a hat-trick of successful releases in 2026, ending his lean phase on a high.
