JKLF terrorist Yasin Malik has made sensational claim. It is said that former PM Manmohan Singh thanked him for going to Pakistan and meeting Hafiz Saeed. Malik is serving a life sentence.
Yasin Malik Explosive Claim: Yasin Malik, a terrorist of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), has made a big claim about former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh. Malik is serving life imprisonment in the Terror funding case. He has said that Manmohan Singh personally thanked him for meeting Hafiz Saeed, the founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) in 2006 and Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Yasin Malik claims- meeting Hafiz Saeed at the behest of Indian intelligence officials
Yasin Malik made these claims in an affidavit filed in the Delhi High Court in August. He is also accused of killing three Air Force officials posted in Jammu and Kashmir. Malik claimed that he had no independent initiative with Hafiz Saeed. The meeting with Pakistan took place on the instructions of senior Indian intelligence officials under the secret peace process.
Malik said that as far as my meeting with Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006, I informed the judge of the trial court. It was said that after the earthquake in both parts of Kashmir, I was going to travel to Pakistan to do humanitarian aid and relief work in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. More than one lakh Kashmiri was killed in this earthquake.
Manmohan Singh thanked Manmohan Singh for meeting Hafiz Saeed
Yasin Malik said in his affidavit, “The then Special Director IB VK Joshi met me in New Delhi. I requested me that I will meet political leaders in Pakistan, so it will be very helpful that I should talk to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed and other terrorists of Pakistan. This will help our Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the peace process on the Kashmir issue.”

Yasin Malik said, “There was a special request to meet Hafiz Saeed. After meeting Saeed, I returned to New Delhi from Pakistan. Special Director IB VK Joshi met me as part of the debrifling practice. I requested me to give immediate information to the Prime Minister. I met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh the same evening. I was also present with him. Apprised the possibilities. He expressed his gratitude for my efforts, time, patience and dedication. “
