Fresh details about Liam Payne’s final hours have emerged months after the former One Direction singer’s tragic death in Buenos Aires.
Newly revealed sworn statements from two women who allegedly spent time with the 31-year-old on the day he died have offered investigators another perspective on the events leading up to the incident. According to a report, the testimonies describe Payne’s demeanor and interactions inside the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, where he was staying before his fatal fall on October 16, 2024. The claims have resurfaced as part of the ongoing examination into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Newly revealed sworn statements from two women who told investigators they were hired by Liam Payne on the day of his death have offered fresh insight into the singer’s final hours. According to the Daily Mail, the women, identified as Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea, claimed they met the former One Direction star at Buenos Aires’ CasaSur Palermo Hotel on 16 October 2024, where he allegedly displayed increasingly erratic behaviour.
In their statements, they alleged Payne became distressed after realising he did not have enough cash to pay the agreed fee and reportedly offered his gold Rolex watch instead before smashing it. They further claimed he punched the hotel room television several times, performed his own songs, asked for cocaine, and pleaded with them to stay, telling them that money did not make him happy. One of the women reportedly told investigators: “We told him we only wanted money, so he took [the watch] and smashed it. He told us he didn’t care about the money.”
Hotel staff were alerted before singer’s death
The same woman further alleged, “He broke the TV, he punched it. He made us understand that he could smash everything because he knew he could pay for it.” The women told investigators they eventually left the hotel after informing staff about Payne’s alleged behaviour. According to their testimony, they briefly returned later that afternoon to collect belongings they had left behind, at which point Payne reportedly apologised for his earlier actions.
Hours later, at approximately 5.07 pm, the singer died after falling from the balcony of his third-floor hotel room. Toxicology reports later found cocaine, alcohol and the sedative Klonopin in his system at the time of his death.
