Accompanying his note with a nostalgic video of the two together, Anil described Satish as the one friend he could always count on, whether he wanted to celebrate, vent his frustrations or laugh about life.

Sharing the post on social media, Anil Kapoor spoke about the unique bond he shared with Satish Kaushik, describing him as much more than just a colleague. He revealed that Satish was the friend he instinctively turned to during every phase of life, whether he was happy, upset or simply wanted to have a light-hearted conversation.
In his note, Anil wrote, “Happy Friendship Day to all my friends. Today, I’m especially missing my dear friend, Satish.”
He went on to explain that everyone has one special friend they can call without hesitation, someone who listens without judgement and makes every conversation feel lighter. According to Anil, Satish was that person in his life. The actor admitted that while he misses Satish Kaushik’s humour, infectious energy and immense talent, what he misses the most is simply having his friend by his side. Reflecting on the passage of time, Anil shared that some friendships become lifelong companions and remain irreplaceable.

Anil Kapoor and Satish Kaushik’s friendship extended far beyond the film sets. Over the years, the two collaborated on several memorable films including Mr. India, Ram Lakhan, Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and Gharwali Baharwali. One of their most celebrated collaborations remains Mr. India (1987), where Satish Kaushik played the lovable cook Calendar alongside Anil Kapoor’s iconic portrayal of Arun Verma.
Satish Kaushik passed away on March 9, 2023, after suffering a heart attack in Gurugram at the age of 66. His death left the Hindi film industry and countless fans heartbroken.
