Ramayana: Sai Pallavi Skipped Initial Promotions Because Of Schedule Issue – Report

Days before the Ramayana trailer was released, the makers held a Pratham Sankalp event in Delhi. Right from Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey, key members of the star cast were present at the grand launch. However, Sai was absent from other promotional events which were held earlier. According to a media report, the actress, who plays the role of Goddess Sita, wasn’t a part of the events due to a scheduling issue. It has been reported that she even directly left for Mani Ratnam’s film shoot after the Delhi launch event.

According to Mid-Day,  is presently shooting for filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s film in Kolkata. She will be seen with Vijay Sethupathi in the movie. A source told the portal that the actress has a packed schedule and is reportedly focusing on finishing her commitment first.

The report further suggests that the actress has always maintained a low-key social media presence and hasn’t ever treated social media to be a part of her publicity strategy. “The trailer is on her grid now. While she reposted it a bit late, that’s just how she has functioned throughout her career,” the source added.

Having said that, Sai was apparently never going to attend the San Diego Comic-Con event for Ramayana. The actress is now expected to join her co-stars, Ranbir and Yash, for the next promotional phase. “The plan has always been for Sai to join the promotions in the next phase, which starts in September in several international locations,” an insider told the portal.

Meanwhile,  will be released in two parts. The first installment is scheduled for a theatrical release on Diwali this year, while the second part will arrive on Diwali 2027. Produced by Yash and Namit Malhotra, the movie features Ranbir as Lord Rama, Yash as demon king Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, Ravie as Lord Lakshman, and Sai as Goddess Sita. Apart from them, the supporting star cast includes Lara Dutta, Kunal Kapoor, Ajinkya Deo, Faisal Malik, Indira Krishnan, and more.

As far as Sai is concerned, the actress also has Om – Chapter 1: Udhiram (The Blood Wood) with Dhanush lined up. The actress has reunited with him after Maari 2. Directed by Rajkumar Perisamy, the action thriller has been scheduled for a theatrical release on October 16.
