Despite Rumours, NTR and Neel’s Dragon Progressing as Planned

Jr NTR’s team recently issued an official statement confirming that the actor had sustained a shoulder injury and had been advised several weeks of rest by doctors.

While the statement mentioned his rehabilitation, it did not say that the shooting of Dragon had been halted.

Despite this, speculation quickly spread on social media and in some sections of the media that production had come to a standstill.

A few reports even claimed that creative differences between NTR and director Prashanth Neel had forced the makers to pause the shoot.

However, sources close to the project told GreatAndhra that the film is progressing as planned.

During NTR’s recovery, Prashanth Neel is using the time to shoot sequences that do not require the actor’s presence.

Portions involving other cast members are either being filmed or are scheduled to be completed during this period. As a result, production has not been halted.

Sources also clarified that discussions over the script between NTR and Prashanth Neel took place much earlier and were resolved before filming began. Since then, the shoot has reportedly been progressing smoothly.

The recently completed four-minute video glimpse is said to have boosted the team’s confidence and generated strong buzz around the project, making Dragon one of the most anticipated films currently in production.

The film is also being planned as a two-part saga and is scheduled to hit theatres in June 2027.
