Will Levis has no shortage of confidence. Despite missing the entire 2025 season, the Tennessee Titans quarterback feels he’s a starting-caliber quarterback in the NFL.
Levis entered rehab last year and willingly skipped the entire season. He’s back, but as things stand, Levis will start as Cam Ward’s backup in 2026.
Levi’s not looking to play second fiddle for too long. He made a massive claim from the Titans training camp.
I know I put the tape out there already that I am a, you know, dang good quarterback in this league, and I am even better than I have been.

The 27-year-old did not stop there. He doubled down on his initial take with an even bigger claim.
I think there are not 32 better quarterbacks in this league better than me. I know that for sure.

Levis played for Penn State and Kentucky in college. The Titans drafted Levis 33rd overall in 2023.
Levis started his rookie season as Ryan Tannehill‘s backup. After Tannehill picked up a knock, Mike Vrabel, the Titans’ head coach at that time, put Levis in, and he showed off.
In his debut, Levis threw for 238 passing yards and four touchdowns in a victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Although he followed it up with a narrow defeat, Vrabel dropped Tannehill and picked Levis as the starter for the rest of the year.
Levis finished his rookie year with a 3-6 record. He completed 149 passes (58.4%) for 1808 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions.
Ahead of the 2024 season, the Titans replaced Vrabel with former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as the new head coach. The Titans’ offense regressed. Levis recorded more blooper reels than touchdowns. He went 2-10, completed 190 passes for 2091 yards, 13 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, in addition to 10 fumbles and lost possession six times.
Before the 2025 season, Levis shocked the internet by uploading photos of his brutally battered shoulder. He underwent surgery and entered rehab. In the meantime, the Titans, who owned the first overall draft pick, selected former Miami signal-caller Cam Ward.
Ward played every game in his debut NFL campaign and finished with a 3-14 record. Ward completed 59.8% of his passes for 3169 yards, threw 15 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
The Titans fired Callahan during the offseason. They appointed Robert Saleh, who served as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator last year.
In his previous stint as head coach, Saleh managed the New York Jets, going 20-36 in four years. The Jets fired him after five games in 2024.
According to the NFL Schedule, Saleh will kick off his tenure with the Titans against his former team, the Jets, in week one of the 2026 season.
It will not be just another game, but a battle for bragging rights. Several experts had blamed the Jets’ ownership for not providing Saleh with enough resources to succeed before he was laid off. Regardless, Saleh doesn’t hold any grudge against his former employers. He expects a tough fight from them.
Isn’t that the objective anyways though man? Like, I don’t think the Jets are coming here Week 1 to sit at the 50-yard line and roast marshmallows and talk about our summers, so, we’re getting after it, they’re getting after it, may the best team win.
