Balkrishna Industries, Syngene, Redington shares spurt on heavy volumes; check full list

The Indian equity benchmarks surged in noon deals on Thursday, July 30, ahead of monthly expiry of SENSEX futures and option contracts powered by gains in heavyweights like Infosys, HDFC Bank, Tata Consultancy Services, Coal India, Eicher Motors, Wipro and ICICI Bank.

The SENSEX surged as much as 461 points from the day’s lowest level and NIFTY50 index moved above its important psychological level of 24,300.

As of 12:43 pm, the SENSEX was up 168 points at 77,822 and NIFTY50 index advanced 52 points to 24,302.

Here are stocks witnessing higher than usual trading volumes:

Balkrishna Industries: Shares of the country’s leading tyre maker advanced as much as 10.28% to hit an intraday high of ₹2,295 after the company’s net profit rose 50% to ₹432 crore in the first quarter of current financial year from ₹287 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations advanced 25% to ₹3,445 crore from ₹2,760 crore.

Balkrishna Industries shares were witnessing heavier than usual trading activity as volumes jumped by 16 times to 21.28 lakh shares compared with an average trading volume of 1.33 lakh shares on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

Syngene International: Shares of the Bengaluru-based healthcare research and analytics firm fell as much as 9.41% to hit an intraday low of ₹375 after the company reported net loss of ₹9 crore int the first quarter of current financial year against profit of ₹87 crore in the year-ago period.

Syngene’s revenue from operations declined 16% to ₹736 crore from ₹875 crore.

Trading volume in the stock jumped by 14 times to 1.11 crore shares compared with an average volume of 7.97 lakh shares on the NSE.

Redington: Shares of the re-seller of Apple products in the country rose as much as 17.57% to hit an intraday high of ₹338 after its net profit in June quarter surged 77% to ₹486 crore.

Redington reported its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹34,966 crore in April-June period.

Trading volume in the stock jumped by 11.6 times to 4.21 crore shares compared with an average volume of 36 lakh shares.

Syrma SGS: The electronics manufacturing services company reported a more than twofold jump in its consolidated profit after tax to ₹105.69 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, driven by exports, original design business and operational efficiencies.

The company had posted profit after tax of ₹49.9 crore a year ago.

Trading volume in the stock jumped by 7.1 times to 71 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 10 lakh shares.

Waaree Energies: Waaree Energies fell as much as 6.4% to ₹2,563 after the solar photovoltaic manufacturer’s Q1 FY27 consolidated net profit stood at ₹891.87 crore, up 15.39% from ₹772.89 crore in the period ended June 2025.

Its revenue from operations rose 79.22% YoY to ₹7,931.79 crore in the April-June period of the current fiscal year, compared to ₹4,425.83 crore a year back.

Trading volume in the stock jumped by 4.6 times to 36.91 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 8.02 lakh shares.
