Niharika NM is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Bhai Tera Star Hai after beginning her acting journey in South Indian cinema. As the content creator-turned-actor expands her career across multiple film industries, she believes the ongoing comparisons between Bollywood and South cinema are unnecessary. In an exclusive conversation with Zoom, Niharika said she prefers to focus on good scripts and talented filmmakers rather than language or regional divides. She also shared that trends in Indian cinema are constantly evolving, making such comparisons irrelevant in the long run.

Niharika NM is entering a new phase of her career with Bhai Tera Star Hai, which marks her Hindi film debut. Having already appeared in South Indian films, the digital creator says she doesn’t believe in drawing comparisons between Bollywood and South cinema. Speaking exclusively to Zoom, Niharika said that for her, the deciding factor has always been the quality of the script and the people behind the project rather than the language in which the film is made.

“I think I just look at my scripts and the films that I’m doing, and across all languages, I feel like it’s just good content and good filmmakers. I think that’s the common ground, really,” she said. The internet star also dismissed the constant online debates comparing the two industries. “I feel like these are all very unnecessary things that happen on the internet, really,” she added.
According to , Indian cinema naturally goes through different phases, with audiences embracing different genres at different points in time. “But I think everybody is making rooted stories now. Everything goes through a phase. Suddenly there are only action films or only violent films, then only comedy films, and then there are only rooted stories people want to make, hard-hitting stories. I think it’s just a phase that Indian cinema overall goes through,” she explained.
Niharika’s comments are especially relevant because discussions comparing Bollywood and South Indian cinema frequently dominate social media, especially as films from different industries are enjoying pan-India success.
