IPL 2026 Final: What are the Rules RCB fans have to Obey? Bengaluru Police impose strict Advisory for RCB Fans

As Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepare to face Gujarat Titans in the Tata IPL 2026 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today at 7:30 PM IST, the Bengaluru City Police have released a comprehensive traffic and public safety advisory for fans in the city.

With last year’s tragic stampede during victory celebrations still fresh in memory, authorities are stressing disciplined conduct to ensure smooth traffic movement and public safety.

Bengaluru Police impose Key Restrictions for RCB Fans

  • Complete ban on public celebrations on roads or open spaces after the match result.
  • No bike rallies, over-speeding, stunt riding, or unnecessary honking.
  • Prohibition on bursting firecrackers or using hazardous materials.
  • No large LED screens or public screenings facing roads without prior permission.
  • Strict action against public drunkenness, provocative behaviour, or targeting rival fans.

Fans have been strongly advised to celebrate at home or in authorised private venues. Commuters are requested to follow instructions from traffic personnel, especially around MG Road, Brigade Road, and areas near M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Authorities have also clarified that claims of free Namma Metro rides are fake. Regular ticketing will apply. Citizens are encouraged to use public transport like BMTC buses and metro to reduce congestion.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) appealed for cooperation: “Peace and discipline in crowded areas are crucial. Every citizen shares the responsibility of maintaining law and order.”

Additional police personnel have been deployed across key areas for monitoring. RCB supporters are excited for a possible back-to-back title, but police have urged maturity and restraint to prevent any untoward incidents.

The advisory aims to balance cricket enthusiasm with public safety. Bengaluru Police have requested all residents not just RCB fans to stay vigilant and report violations immediately.
