Sonu Sood has now stepped in to react, calling her words ‘shameful’ and urging public figures to think before they speak. The controversy started after Kangana used terms like ‘Generation Gutter’ for young protesters who took part in student demonstrations in Delhi. The Queen actress has been vocal in sharing her opinions about the CJP-led protest.
Sonu Sood Reacts To Kangana Ranaut’s Remarks
Talking to reporters, Sonu Sood said he had not personally heard Kangana’s comments at first. But once informed, he did not hold back his views on the matter. He said such language was simply unacceptable from anyone in public life.
Sonu said young people are the ones who help build an actor’s career and reputation. He explained that support from the public decides how long anyone stays relevant, no matter their profession or fame.
He added that a person’s existence only carries meaning when people remain connected with them. Whether one is an actor, doctor, or politician, public trust and support truly matter the most.

When told about the ‘Generation Gutter’ remark, Sonu said it was very shameful and should never have been said. He stressed that public figures must weigh their words carefully before speaking out loud. “If she has said that, then I think it is very shameful. It should not have been said,” Sonu said.
Quoting a popular saying, “tol mol ke bol,” Sonu said people should think deeply before speaking. He added that the public deserves respect since they hold real power over anyone’s success or failure.
What Did Kangana Ranaut Say?
The controversy began when reacted to viral videos from recent Gen Z-led protests held at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Thousands of students had gathered there over exam-related issues, including alleged NEET-UG paper leaks and irregularities.
In her social media posts, Kangana described the protest visuals as ‘puke-inducing’. She said some protesters wanted to imitate independent career women without earning their freedom or accepting accountability.
She further used insulting language, saying some protesters were ‘not good at studies’ and could not even be good homemakers. Kangana also claimed some protesters proudly flaunted access to drugs and drinks while living off their parents’ money.
Kangana later doubled down on her comments, using terms like ‘femi-Nazis’ and ‘gutter chaap’ while targeting the protest organisers directly.
