Rapper Badshah is set to return to the upcoming season of “MTV Hustle” as Rap Supremo, with the fifth edition of the reality show introducing a new theme, “Apna Homeground”, which celebrates the communities, streets and experiences that shape an artist’s journey.
Badshah said the new season reflects the essence of the platform and its role in discovering emerging talent from across the country.
“Hustle has always been a groundbreaking platform, and coming back this season truly feels like home. This season’s theme, ‘Apna Homeground’, is a perfect tribute to the communities and experiences that build an artist from the ground up,” he said.
The rapper added that he was looking forward to discovering the next generation of voices from India’s hip-hop scene.
Joining Badshah on the show will be OG Squad Boss EPR, along with MC Square, Paradox and Agsy, who will return as Squad Bosses after beginning their own journeys as contestants on the platform.
The show’s anthem highlights the energy of India’s streets, the voices emerging from different communities and the growing influence of the country’s hip-hop culture.
EPR said returning as a mentor feels natural after experiencing the journey from contestant to artist. He added that he hopes to help new performers develop their sound while staying connected to their authenticity.
MC Square, who won “MTV Hustle Season 2”, described his return as a Squad Boss as a full-circle moment, saying he understands the emotions and challenges faced by contestants starting their careers.
Paradox and Agsy also reflected on their journeys, with both artists expressing excitement about guiding new talent on the same stage that helped shape their careers.
