DUBAI: India’s cricket prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has made a big leap in the ICC rankings. Vaibhav’s stunning performance in the Twenty20 series against Zimbabwe led to this achievement.
Sooryavanshi is now ranked 48th in the ICC T20 batting rankings. He was in 278th position earlier. The player has jumped 230 places in one go. Vaibhav’s entry into international cricket was possible following his good performance in the IPL. Vaibhav had a decent series, including a half-century scored off 19 balls in the first Twenty20 against Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill reclaimed the top spot in the ICC ODI batsmen rankings after his consistent performance in the ODI series against England. He overtook Virat Kohli to reach the top spot.
