Lock Upp 2 recently saw two evictions. Dheeraj Dhoopar and Sufi Motiwala, who had been a part of the Netflix reality show since day one, are out of the show. Post their elimination, Sufi opened up about Harshad Chopda and Shivangi Joshi’s relationship rumours. Shilpa Shinde had called the duo ‘lovebirds’. However, Sufi has denied the speculation about Harshad and Shivangi being in love with each other. During a press conference, the evicted contestant described them as ‘overdramatic’ best friends. He also shared a theory why people assumed that Harshad and Shivangi love each other.

During a media interaction, Sufi was asked if Harshad and Shivangi are in love. To this, the contestant said, “No, they are not in love with each other. They are just overdramatic best friends. I think so. Because they have never spoken about love with each other.”

The reality show contestant added that he has spent a lot of time with both actors on the show. He further stated that the streaming platform must’ve done some editing and added background music. The content creator also shared a theory why people speculated about the two TV actors’ relationship. “It also happened because Shilpa ma’am kept calling them ‘lovebirds’, wouldn’t they wonder if it’s true? There was no such narrative till then,” he added.
Sufi was further asked why Shivangi handed her clips to while the actor gave his handkerchief to the actress. To this, the reality show contestant stated that even he has memory tokens from everyone. “It’s just cute, so all of this happens. Let them be, let them be cute, nice people.”

Meanwhile, Lock Upp 2 premiered on Netflix on June 27. Hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan, the reality show commenced with a set of 16 celebrity contestants. Shreshta Iyer was the first person to be evicted from the reality show. It was followed by Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja and Riyaz Ali’s eliminations. A few weeks ago, Madhuri Jain Grover’s journey also ended.
Apoorva Mukhija had recently entered Lock Upp season 2. While everyone assumed that she was a wild card contestant, she turned out to be just an informer.
