Defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT), who are undoubtedly the two most complete teams in the tournament this year, will square off in the final match of the Indian Premier League 2026 season.
Both franchises are aiming for their second IPL title; GT won the title in their inaugural season in 2022 under Hardik Pandya’s leadership, and RCB ended their 18-year trophy drought last year.

Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who have tortured opposition batsmen in both the powerplay and the last moments, have been RCB’s brightest stars this season. Players like Jacob Duffy, Rasikh Salam, and Krunal Pandya have provided strong backing for the pair.
Conversely, GT has also performed flawlessly during the competition. With players like Jos Buttler, Jason Holder, and Washington Sundar playing crucial supporting roles, their batting lineup, captained by Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, has easily chased down 200+ targets.
