Amid the ongoing student protests, several Bollywood celebrities have come forward to express their support for the students. After Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and others, more actors have joined the list of stars rallying behind them. Shahid Kapoor shared his thoughts, stating that students have the right to voice their concerns and stand up for their demands. Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh said that their call for fairness and transparency deserves empathy. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in a video message, also reacted to visuals from the protests in Delhi and Mumbai.
More Bollywood Stars Extend Support To Students Amid Protests
Shahid Kapoor wrote on Instagram, “What will happen if the very youth that the is made for doesn’t believe in it anymore? Jinke liye bana hai unka toh pehla haq banta hai. Exam mein sawalon ka jawab dete hain. Aaj sawaal pooch rahe hain. Kyon na poochein? Jaise har saal wo jawaab likhte hain apne future ke liye, aaj apne hi future pe unka yeh sawaal hai. Unhe haq hai.”
(Translation: Those for whom it was made have the first right to question it. Every year, they answer questions in exams. Today, they are the ones asking questions. Why shouldn’t they? Just as every year they write answers for the sake of their future, today they have questions about that very future. They have every right to ask.”
He said that the youth of the country “is the country” and they deserve to believe.

Nawaz, who is currently abroad for a play, shared his statement in a video. He called the the future of the nation and said that it was unfair to ignore their concerns. He added that their demands for accountability were justified. He also reacted to the violence during the protests and requested appropriate action.
Meanwhile, Rakul Preet Singh said that every student deserves to know that their hard work and dreams matter. She added that when young voices come together seeking fairness and transparency, their concerns deserve empathy and respect.
She further wrote, “I hope for a fair and constructive conversation that strengthens trust for everyone involved. I have immense faith that our countrys institution will listen and engage in a meaningful dialogue and work towards giving these students the answers they deserve.”
