Creative Differences making Aamir Khan Lose Films

Aamir Khan has reportedly walked out of yet another film, this time the much-discussed biopic on entrepreneur Ashneer Grover. According to the latest reports, the actor decided to step away from the project after creative differences with director Rahul Mody. While neither Aamir nor the makers have officially confirmed the development, multiple Bollywood reports suggest the collaboration will not happen. Interestingly, Aamir was said to be deeply involved in shaping the film during its early stages. Reports claim that he spent considerable time working on the screenplay and wanted the story to match his creative vision. However, differences reportedly emerged over the film’s treatment, eventually leading to his exit.

The project, however, is not being shelved. Director Rahul Mody and actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is expected to play Ashneer Grover’s wife Madhuri Jain Grover, are said to be moving ahead with the film. The makers have reportedly started looking for a younger actor to replace Aamir in the lead role, and discussions are already underway with a few names in the industry. The Ashneer Grover biopic was announced only a few months ago and had generated considerable curiosity because of Aamir’s association with it. Before that, there were also rumours about Imran Khan joining the project, but those reports were later denied by the actor himself.

Meanwhile, Aamir’s lineup has undergone several changes in recent months. Reports now indicate that he is focusing on a period sports drama with director Ashutosh Gowariker, based on the historic 1952 India-Pakistan Test series. The actor is expected to begin work on that film later this year. He also has 3 Idiots sequel lined up to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
