The next-generation Hyundai Creta is likely to make global debut at the 2026 Bharat Mobility Show in February, followed shortly by its market launch. The SUV is currently undergoing extensive testing and has been spotted several times in India. The new 2027 Hyundai Creta will witness a radical design overhaul, a more upmarket and feature-packed interior and a strong hybrid powertrain.
Additionally, the SUV will switch to Hyundai’s new and safer K3 platform, which also underpins the Kia Seltos. This advanced architecture will also result in bigger dimensions and a more spacious cabin. Spy shots reveal that the new Creta will be longer and wider than its predecessor, which translates into improved cabin space.
The new Hyundai Creta is expected to derive design inspiration from the Hyundai Crater concept, which was first showcased at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show. Spotted test mules reveal a flatter roofline, a more squared-off rear, vertically stacked LED taillamps elements connected by a full-width light bar, larger and newly-designed alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof.
Inside the cabin, the new 2027 Hyundai Creta will feature the brand’s Pleos Connect system, featuring a larger centre touchscreen and a slim driver’s display integrated with built-in Gleo AI. Other expected features include new seat upholstery, redesigned door trims, adjustable headrests for rear seat occupants and an updated ADAS suite.
Under the hood, the all-new Hyundai Creta is likely to feature a new 1.5-litre petrol hybrid powertrain. Rumours also suggest that the South Korean automaker is developing a new 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine, supporting hybrid technology. This engine could debut in the upcoming Hyundai Bayon SUV, slated to launch in the second half 2026.
The existing powertrain lineup including the 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and 116bhp, 1.5L diesel engine is also expected to be carried forward. Transmission choices will also remain intact.
