Zimbabwe have announced their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, making a few notable changes ahead of the contest.
The biggest talking point is the return of Wesley Madhevere, who has earned a recall to the T20 setup after being out of the format for nearly a year.
The selectors have also handed maiden T20I call-ups to fast bowler Newman Nyamuri and wicketkeeper-batter Tafadzwa Siga, both of whom will be looking to make their international debut in the shortest format. Another player drawing attention is Ben Curran, the brother of England all-rounder Sam Curran, who has retained his place in the Zimbabwe squad after impressing with his recent performances.
Three Changes in the Squad
Zimbabwe have made three changes to the squad that featured in the recently concluded T20 series against Bangladesh. Wesley Madhevere, Newman Nyamuri, and Tafadzwa Siga replace Clive Madande, Tinotenda Mposa, and Shinga Musikwa.
Madhevere last represented Zimbabwe in a T20 International in July 2025. An experienced campaigner, he has played 79 T20Is, scoring 1,256 runs and picking up 15 wickets, making him one of Zimbabwe’s most valuable all-round options.
Newman Nyamuri has already represented Zimbabwe in Test and One-Day International cricket but is now in line to make his T20I debut. Similarly, Tafadzwa Siga has previously featured only in Test cricket and has now received his first opportunity in Zimbabwe’s white-ball squad.

India vs Zimbabwe T20I Series Schedule
The three-match T20I series between India and Zimbabwe will begin on July 23, with the remaining matches scheduled for July 25 and July 26. All three games will be played at the Harare Sports Club in Harare.
With experienced players returning, fresh faces earning opportunities, and Ben Curran continuing his journey in Zimbabwe colours, the hosts will be hoping to put up a strong performance against a formidable Indian side in the upcoming series.
