Pickleball World Cup Confirms India’s Participation Under IPA

The Pickleball World Cup has sent an official invitation to the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), confirming Team India’s participation across five categories at the marquee tournament, set to be held in Asia for the first time in Da Nang, Vietnam, from August 30 to September 6. India will compete in the Open, Senior, Junior, Kids, and Master categories.

“On behalf of the Pickleball World Cup Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to officially welcome Team India to the 2026 Heineken Pickleball World Cup, which will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from August 30 to September 6, 2026. We are delighted to confirm your country’s participation in the following categories: Open Senior Junior Kids Master,” the organisers of the Pickleball World Cup wrote to the IPA in a letter, a copy of which has been accessed by Pickleball Now.

“We would also like to extend a special invitation to your delegation to participate in the Parade of Nations, which will take place on September 2, 2026,” PWC added in the letter.

The letter also helped the IPA – the National Sports Federation (NSF) for pickleball – debunk the confusion surrounding the participation of Indian players at the Pickleball World Cup.

“It has come to our attention that the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) has been publicly circulating false and misleading claims regarding the delegation representing India at the upcoming Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam. The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) would like to ensure accuracy, protect player interests, and set the record straight for the sports community and the general public,” an IPA source, acquainted with the development, told this website.

Stating the composition of the Indian team, the IPA clarified: “The official Indian national teams competing in the Pickleball World Cup across the 14&Under, 18&Under, Open, 50+, and 60+ categories are being selected and sent exclusively by the Indian Pickleball Association. There is no other official ‘Team India’ participating in this tournament. Any individual or organization claiming otherwise is blatantly misleading the public, media, and athletic community. Players may participate in Individual International event which is open for all.”

In this context, the letter from the Pickleball World Cup further validated the IPA’s position and dispelled the confusion over the representation of Indian players.

The IPA has already   for the Open event, led by Harsh Mehta. The other players selected in the squad are Arjun Singh, Anish Frolian, Aman Patel , Pearl Amalsadiwala, and Naomi Amalsadiwala.

The IPA is expected to announce the Indian squads for the 50+ and 60+ categories soon.
