KPop Demon Hunters: Ahn Hyo-Seop Says ‘I Want To Live’ As Director Maggie Kang Teases ‘Jinu Where Are You?’ – WATCH

KPop Demon Hunters’ cliffhanger where Jinu’s soul gives strength to Rumi’s sword to fight Gwi-Ma was one of the most epic moments of the Netflix blockbuster animation, both in terms of the plot and emotional quotient.

While Jinu’s possible sacrifice for her undying love for Rumi left fans in tears, we aren’t still sure whether the male lead of the movie has died or just transferred his soul into Rumi. And as much as we wish to see Jinu back in the film’s sequel, the character voice actor Ahn Hyo-Seop also wants his return.

Is Jinu alive?

In a new video shared by Netflix Korea, Ahn is in conversation with the film’s co-director Maggie Kang where the two discuss fan questions, theories doing the rounds and possible story ahead. “Did Jinu become a goblin? Did he die? Can we believe that he’s alive?” Ahn asks Maggie who asks him “What do you want? Jinu where are you?” As both of them laugh, Ahn says, “I want to live, obviously.”

Ahn also asks Maggie as to why the Honmoon instead of turning golden in the end turns into a rainbow of colours. Maggie says, “The golden Honmoon closes off the demon world completely. But Honmoon turned rainbow-coloured, not golden. Whether it is a good thing or a bad thing is a mystery.”

KPop Demon Hunters sequel

KPop Demon Hunter’s sequel is moving ahead at Sony and Netflix. It’s co-director Maggie Kang confirmed the same recently. She told Variety, “We’ve set up so much for potential backstory. Obviously, there’s a lot of questions that are left unanswered and areas that are not explored, and we had to do that because there’s only so much movie you could tell in 85 minutes.”
