India is going to strengthen its border amidst American tariff pressure and growing proximity to China. India is constructing a new railway line on the northeast border with China. With this railway line, you will be able to move easily to the inaccessible areas of the people. It will be easy to carry the goods and the army will also be able to use it if needed. This step is considered especially important because if there is tension again in the better relations with China, then India should be ready.
According to media reports, about 500 km of railway line will be laid under the approved scheme, which will also include bridges and tunnels. This network will connect areas along the borders of China, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bhutan. About 30,000 crore rupees are estimated to be spent on this project and plans to complete it in four years.
This project is the result of long thinking
Relationships between India and China have been fluctuating for decades. Sometimes there is a closeness and sometimes there has been stress. Although recently there have been indications of improvement in relations with China, this project of India shows long -term thinking. Five years after the struggle on the border, now both countries are trying to improve the relationship again, in which business opportunities and global circumstances are also playing a role.
Road structure will also get strength
India’s new railway projects will further strengthen the road structure built in the last decade. The country has so far built about 9,984 km of highways, which have spent Rs 1.07 lakh crore. Apart from this, 5,055 km of roads are still under construction. This new rail and road facility will not only make access to the common people easier but will also work in disaster or military condition. In the last ten years, India has also built 1,700 km railway line in the northeastern region.
Air Force & Landing Ground
In the last few years, India has also started many of its advanced landing ground. They were closed since 1962, now they are being used for helicopters and military aircraft. The study of new railway lines in Ladakh region adjacent to China is also under discussion. Right now the rail network is up to Baramulla in Kashmir Valley. This region is disputed between both India and Pakistan. The Government of India and Railways have not yet given any official comment on this.
