Delhi Metro Alert: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that four major stations, namely Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Janpath, and Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth will remain shut on Monday.
As per the update, all entries and exits will be closed at these metros ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party’s proposed march to parliament.
“Due to security reason, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations have been closed till further instructions,” tweets Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Sharing a post on X, the Metro Rail Corporation said, “Due to security reasons, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Seva Teerth metro stations have been closed till further instructions.” As per the latest update, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has stated that the interchange facilities and gates are now open at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat metro stations.
What Did Delhi Police Say
Delhi police on Monday issued an advisory saying that no permission has been sought or granted for any proposed march to Parliament by the CJP, clarifying that strict action will be taken against anyone violating orders.
In a statement, Delhi police claimed that prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), corresponding to the erstwhile Section 144 of CrPC, remain in force in New Delhi district.

Agitators gathered at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to march to the parliament at around 9 am. The protestors are demanding the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the alleged irregularities linked to the NEET_UG 2026 paper leak. Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for the past 20 days. The scientist agreed to end his fast,if three of his conditions are fulfilled.
In a handwritten letter shared from what he referred to as his “illegal detention” at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital, Wangchuk stated his first condition is if the government takes accountability of the alleged “failures” in the education system – especially the recent NEET question paper leaks. His second condition is if political leaders assure him that the paper leak issue would be raised in the Parliament.
Wangchuk’s third demand is that key political leaders must visit him at the hospital and give assurance of the other two conditions – if his health and other factors do not allow him to be a part of the Parliament march today.
