Chardham Yatra will become easier

With the construction of this tunnel, Chardham Yatra will become easier. Due to snowfall, the highway gets closed in winter and connectivity with many areas gets cut off. In view of this problem, the government proposed to build a double lane tunnel. This tunnel is being built on Yamunotri Highway, which will cost Rs 1383 crore. The distance from Uttarkashi to Yamunotri Dham is about 125 km, with the construction of the tunnel, the journey of the devotees going to Chardham will be reduced by 26 km.
